The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and communication quality in romantic relationships. Emotional intelligence refers to the capacity of individuals to perceive, understand and regulate their own and others' emotions; strengthens partners' ability to empathize and manage emotional responses in romantic relationships (Özer & Deniz, 2014). Communication quality forms the basis of mutual understanding, respect and sincerity. Effective communication, on the other hand, involves not only the transfer of information but also the sharing and understanding of emotions (Gizir, 2013).
